Bokan Canary Wharf is an award-winning 2 AA Rosette bar and restaurant located in the Dockyard suburb in London. We occupy the 37th to the 39th floor of the Novotel Hotel London. The high skyline offers panoramic views to the city as you indulge in the flavours of our sumptuous food and drinks.
The design is inspired by the history we share from the dockyard’s rusty industrial past. The interior of the sky-high dining area is inviting and relaxed; it creates a perfect dining experience. With a quiet ambience and stunning 3600 views over London, you are assured of a truly special experience.
Bokan 37: The Restaurant
An impressive swift lift will land you on the 37th floor where you are welcomed into a cosy, warm dining area. You will dine in the dockyard vicinity as you admire the glamorous view of the London business district. The menu is composed of varied European cuisines with a dash of British influence.
The Head Chef, Aurelie Altemaire, came up with this array of classical European dishes with adopted British ingredients, providing a wide range of flavours and textures to choose from. On top of the menu, you’ll find our signature Aberdeen Angus Beef Tartar with Sesame Crisps, perfectly prepared lentils with foie grass and duck with radish and wasabi dressing, and much more. The meals are tastefully prepared and presented; they take your taste buds on a journey to European discovery.
The sommelier will continually refill your glasses with exquisite wines that perfectly complement your meal.
- Reservations: Reservations for our Bokan 37 Restaurant can be taken for a two-hour sitting. The reservation is subject to availability. Tables at the window are allocated on a first-come first-seated basis. Our restaurant does not accept reservations for drinks only.

Bokan 38: The Bar
Right above the restaurant is the bar and lounge which offers an extensive list of dockland-inspired cocktails and wines. The wood and iron machinery, the vintage lighting and dashes of gin accentuate the traditional past held by the Canary Wharf for close to 1000 years.
Bokan offer carefully chosen craft beers, intriguing cocktails and a wide range of wines to complete the perfect evening. The elegant décor plus the fantastic view over London makes it the perfect place to hold your night out with colleagues.
- Reservation: Reservations can be made through the Bokan website and are subject to availability. Entry into the Bokan Bar is also subject to capacity. All guest under 18 years are not allowed and under 21 years must provide proof of their age

Bokan 39: The Rooftop Terrace
The walk-in rooftop bar and terrace offer a specialist Gin bar with a lengthy list of intriguing cocktails available. The large alfresco drinking terrace commands a fantastic view of the vast swathes of London. It provides the perfect getaway from the busy lifestyle down below, to a relaxed, quiet ambience on our comfy daybeds.
It provides a perfect venue for intimate gatherings with a fantastic view of the busy streets of London. For the ardent Jazz fans, we have Sunday Jazz sessions for a smooth and relaxed afternoon to enjoy.
- Reservation: The Rooftop Bar and Terrace operates on a walk-in basis only. Entry is subject to capacity.

- Thursday to Saturday-1200 to 2300 hours
- Sunday-1200 to 2100 hours
During the colder months, the heated terrace will be accessible to guests while the pop-up bar will remain closed. Drinks can be ordered from Bōkan 38 Bar. On Friday and Saturday from 18:30 to 23:30 drinks can be ordered from Bōkan 39 Rooftop Bar.
