The free two-day investment Readiness Workshop hosted by Midven, part of Future Planet Capital, returns to Birmingham for its sixth time.
It will equip business owners with everything they need to know to raise investment and give them the opportunity to apply what they have learned and pitch to a panel of venture capitalists and angel investors.
The Investment Readiness Workshop takes place on 6 and 13 September 2022 at 1 Colmore Square, Birmingham, B4 6AA, and is hosted in partnership with the law firm, Shakespeare Martineau.
The workshop will equip entrepreneurs with the tools they need to take their growing business to the next level. Across the two days, attendees will have access to a wealth of knowledge from experts in their fields and will be able to pick up a host of practical tips on:
- Venture capital investment
- Pitch decks
- Business planning
- Employment law
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Marketing plans
- Investment legals

Jennifer Young founder of the cancer skincare brand of the same name, and Baljinder Kuller, founder of the supply teacher platform, The Supply Register, both secured funding through Midven after attending previous workshops. Furthermore, Kameese Davies, of haircare brand Nylah’s Naturals used the knowledge she gained at the workshop in 2019, to pitch and secure an offer from Sara Davies on BBC’s Dragon’s Den.
